Sport and Leisure
We at Mill Ford School see fitness for life as very important and work to instil in pupils a love of sport. To achieve this love of sport and keeping fit we work closely with Plymouth School Sports Partnership and 1st for Community Sports.
Plymouth School Sport Partnership
From September we are extending opportunities for competitive and non competitive sport for all our pupils, focusing more on Primary aged Pupils but continuing the good work we have established with the sports partnership for our Secondary aged pupils. The partnership supports us in offering a range of inter school competitions allowing our students to meet a range of other students with SEN across Plymouth. The partnership also undertakes talent ID for wider organisations.
1st for Community Sports
Mark Blackler from 1st for Community Sports runs a tennis academy for talented tennis players, which some of pupils access. Mark also provides in-house boccia coaching. Through these sports we work together to encourage pupils to take up sport outside school.
