Spend

  • THRIVE Training
  • Development of a Calculations Policy
  • Read, Write, Inc Update Training

Impact:

Six pupils were in year 7 in 2016/17

  • 83% of pupils were on track to achieve upper quartile 
  • 17% of pupil were on track to achieve medium quartile 
  • 0% of pupils were on track to achieve lower quartile
  • 83% of school targets were met or exceeded

 

2015/16

Spend:

  • Staff training in total communication
  • Staff training in PECs

Impact:

Four pupils were in year 7 in 2015/16

  • All pupils are on track to achieve upper quartile in English and Maths
  •  
  • Between these pupils 87% of school targets were met

 

2014/15

 Spend:

  • Phonics resources and up date training
  •  
  • Praxic alphabet training for staff to develop fine motor skills for ASC pupils delivered by Occupational Therapist

 Impact:

 Nine pupils were year 7 in 2014/14

  • All pupils are on tract to achieve upper quartile
  •  Only 1 ASC pupil didn’t meet his writing target but he refuses to pick up a pen due sensory difficulties. We are going to use technology for him to show his skills and we are confident we will see great improvements in this area
  • Between these pupils 86% of school targets were met
  • All reading targets were met showing the impact of phonics resources and training

 

 2013/14

 Spend:

  • Phonics training for all staff
  • Maths curriculum development and training

  

Impact:

  • Three pupils were year 7 in 2013/14
  • One has successfully transferred to mainstream working within level 5 for Maths and level 4 for English 
  •  Both the others are on track to meet upper quartile for both English and Maths, achieving between 50% of a P/NC level and 1.3 of a level.
