School Nurse

My name is Allyson Bennet and I am a registered sick children's nurse. I have been working at Mill Ford School since 2006.

Many of the pupils have very complex medical needs and some require close supervision. My role involves nursing tasks such as gastrostomy tube feeding, emergency seizure treatment, medical rounds, dressings and first aid.

I am also responsible for staff training for manual handling and emergency drug treatment for seizures.

I work closely with other professionals such as Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Paediatricians, G.Ps and Community Nurses supporting families and delivering the best care possible.
