British Values

At Mill Ford School we are dedicated to ensuring our pupils develop a strong sense of social and moral responsibility, preparing them for life in Modern Britain where, in an ever changing society they understand the importance of and are able to uphold the fundamental British Values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty and mutual tolerance and respect for others.

At Mill Ford we strongly believe in:

Democracy – We believe individual pupils should be given every opportunity to develop their voice and be heard. Pupils’ voice and options are valued and encouraged and can influence change at Mill Ford School.

Rule of Law – Pupils are encouraged to understand the importance of rules to protect the individual and that this is essential for their safety and well-being.

Individual Liberty – We promote the freedom to choose and develop the individual pupils self-esteem and worth through praise, celebration and rewards

Mutual Respect and Tolerance - We believe that each person is respected and valued equally without regard to faith, heritage, race, ability or gender
