Simon's Weekly Challenge

Week 1

Hello,

You may have seen that some villages and towns had been encouraging children to paint a rainbow to display in their windows. We would like to do similar and suggest a weekly activity, starting this week with making a rainbow with your child. You can make your rainbow however you want. Paint on paper, food colouring on icing, handprints, collage using scrap materials, etc. Surprise us with your creativity.

Please take a photo of your creations and send them to s.payne@millford.plymouth.sch.uk by midday on Friday 3rd April, Simon will then collate them all together into one large image and add to our website.

Please watch the website for our collaborative creation and details of the next challenge.

Please be aware that the final image will be available publicly so if the photo of your creation includes your child, this image will be displayed.

Rainbow Pictures

Thank you for sending in rainbow pictures. It isn’t too late to send in more to s.payne@millford.plymouth.sch.uk which I will add to the collaborative picture.

Week 2

Hello,

I am keen that we all try to stay connected as a school community during these difficult times. Trying to fill the day when we are limited with going out is proving difficult, so I thought it would be useful to share one thing that you are doing this week, maybe cooking together, sensory play, colouring, or learning to sign.

Please send a photo to s.payne@millford.plymouth.sch.uk by midday on Friday 17th April. Simon will then collate them all together and add to our website. Hopefully this will provide lots of ideas of things to do.

Please keep watching the website for our ‘connected’ creation and also for new items being added into our useful resources section.

Please be aware that the final image will be available publicly so if the photo of your creation includes your child, this image will be displayed.

Week 3

Simon's third weekly challenge was for staff. We agreed on a song to sign together and chose Let It Go from Disney's Frozen. If you would like to watch the video please follow the link below, we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it:
